Doogee Mix is an affordable smartphone that seeks to rub shoulders with new heavyweights boasting ‘bezel-less’ display. Its Chinese maker provides decent specs for the price as well, including a speedy octa-core processor, ample RAM and dual camera setup.

This impressive device parades a design language somewhat similar to that of a Xiaomi device. The Doogee Mix is not the most beautiful we have seen, but it looks tidy. The slightly curved edges improve the look. The design is solid and colourful with a body that benefits from a micron scale vacuum ion plating technology.
A key selling point of the Doogee Mix is its Super AMOLED display. This is not because it promises the most jaw-dropping clarity – the 5.5-incher has HD (720p) resolution, but the inherent superior display quality of OLED sounds interesting.
Its very thin bezels are the focus. To an extent, this puts the Doogee Mix in the same class as heavyweights such as the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 and Essential Phone. There is also Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Camera and StorageInterestingly, the Doogee Mix also looks to compete with other new, usually more expensive, offerings in terms of camera. You will find two sensors – 16MP and 8MP – on the rear, both have f/2.0 aperture. It offers phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and LED flash. Its Chinese maker promises DSLR quality shots.
For selfies, the Doogee Mix offers you a 5MP snapper with f/2.2 aperture. The main camera shoots Full HD (1080p) videos, while the secondary produces HD (720p) quality at 30 fps.
Hardware and Other FeaturesThis affordable device appears to be no slacker in terms of performance as well. The Doogee Mix packs an impressive MediaTek Helio P25 octa-core processor zipping along at speeds up to 2.5 GHz. You can have your unit with either 4 GB or 6 GB of DDR4 RAM. Either way, enjoyable performance is not out of the question. Storage is also abundant at 64 GB or 128 GB, and expandable as well.
Android 7.0 Nougat OS ships with the Doogee Mix. There is a fingerprint scanner to offer an extra layer of security. The dual-SIM phone offers LTE (Cat. 6) with VoLTE and gets juice from a 3,380mAh battery.
Pricing and AvailabilityDoogee Mix is not officially available in Nigeria, but you may be able to buy the phone from a third party seller at Jumia. The price starts at $159.99 at Gearbest. Doogee Mix Price in Nigeria is expected to range from 60,500 Naira to 110,000 Naira depending on your location in Nigeria.

Like the Doogee Mix, the HomTom S8 is a cheaper alternative to heavyweights such as the Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6 with its ‘bezel-less’ design. HomTom S8 offers dual camera on the rear, a large HD+ display and an octa-core processor.

This is a low mid-range smartphone. And for the price, we can say this is an attractive device. Its edges curve both on the front and back, making it look more appealing and premium. The rear cover features durable composite material with a glossy finish.
At 5.7 inches, the HomTom S8 is no small device. But its edge-to-edge display somewhat draws attention away from the bulk. This has an aspect ratio of 18:9 that should make for great content viewing. The touchscreen features a resolution of 720 x 1,440 pixels and 2.5D curved glass.
CameraHomTom follows the latest trend by equipping the S8 with dual rear cameras for a ‘more breathtaking view.’ The main unit boasts 16 megapixels while the second has 5 megapixels. These two combine to deliver shots with less noise, greater details, and decent bokeh effects.
Selfie enthusiasts may expect decent showing on this one. HomTom S8 packs a 13 megapixel sensor for high resolution selfies.
Hardware and Other FeaturesThe HomTom S8 shouldn’t disappoint for the price, with an octa-core MediaTek MT6750T. Speed of this maxes at 1.5 GHz – not bad, actually, we’re talking eight cores! The 64-bit CPU pairs with a Mali T860 graphics solution. Throw in 4 GB of RAM and you have a device that promises to do you good in terms of performance.
Usually, 64GB onboard storage should be enough. But Doogee didn’t stop there. You will still be able to expand storage by another 128 GB using a microSD card. The 3,400mAh battery on offer supports fast charging. On the rear, the HomTom S8 features a fingerprint scanner that unlocks very fast.

Well, it is no news that the controversial OAP, Daddy Freeze comes out vigorously on most spiritual Leaders in Nigeria as he is against the payment of tithes to pastors.
daddy freeze insists
As usual, He has taken to his Instagram page to share a new post insisting that no Nigerian Prophet or pastor or GO qualifies to receive your tithes.
He wrote:
No Nigerian prophet or pastor or GO qualifies to receive your tithes!
Tithes were only meant for the Levites, who were descendants of Levi son of Jacob and Leah no one else! These Levites are still around in Israel today.
–
Levites were not allowed to own anything not houses not land or cars and DEFINITELY NOT PRIVATE JETS!The tithes were only paid once every 3 years in the year of the tithe Deut 14:27; NOT EVERY MONTH!Only 10% of the tithe was meant for the temple Nehemiah 10:38 the rest was meant for the sick, homeless, strangers, widows and orphans NOT PASTORS!
–
Tithe was never money, IT WAS FOODSTUFF!
–
Tithe was meant to be eaten with our families in the house of God.
–
It is biblical to sell your tithe and buy beer and drink in the house of God. Deut 14:26
–
Deuteronomy 14:[22] “You must set aside a tithe of your crops—one-tenth of all the crops you harvest each year. [23] Bring this tithe to the designated place of worship—the place the LORD your God chooses for his name to be honored—and eat it there in his presence. This applies to your tithes of grain, new wine, olive oil, and the firstborn males of your flocks and herds. Doing this will teach you always to fear the LORD your God.
[24] “Now when the LORD your God blesses you with a good harvest, the place of worship he chooses for his name to be honored might be too far for you to bring the tithe. [25] If so, you may sell the tithe portion of your crops and herds, put the money in a pouch, and go to the place the LORD your God has chosen. [26] When you arrive, you may use the money to buy any kind of food you want—cattle, sheep, goats, wine, beer or other alcoholic drink. Then feast there in the presence of the LORD your God and celebrate with your household. [27] And do not neglect the Levites in your town, for they will receive no allotment of land among you.
