Starting a web-based business is great because of the flexibility and the minimal investment typically required to make it happen. In order to be successful, however, you will have to do a lot of preliminary planning. The sad truth is that nine out of 10 startup ideas will fail. The ones that succeed usually do through market analysis. They develop the right product/service and they put a lot of effort in consistently.
All of the work you do before your online business gets established will have a determining role. A breakthrough, original idea will be difficult to come by but it’s not an absolute essential. Rather, you need a field that you know a lot about and a tailored concept that will appeal to the respective market segment.
If you are looking for a bit of startup inspiration, the following ideas may come in handy.
Course and Academic Material CreationWebsites like Udemy are changing the rules of the game when it comes to the creation of courses and charging people for your academic materials. They simplify the process and your first payment is simply a matter of building a quality course and doing some marketing.
While such platforms do charge academic work creators, they offer an excellent choice for newbies in the field of digital business.
Whether you build a course about essay writing or effective marketing in the digital world, you can make some money. For the purpose, however, you will need to do a bit of research about the courses that are already out there and how yours could offer the respective audience something different. If you’re providing information that’s already out there, the business model is not going to be sustainable in the long run.
eBook WritingBook publishing has been revolutionized through the opportunities that platforms like Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) provide.
To start writing ebooks, you will simply have to invest in a computer, internet connection and some quality images for the purpose of building a noticeable cover.
As of October 2017, the global book market has been valued at 143 billion dollars! This is huge and you can certainly get your share of the pie. The publishing market in the US alone is valued at 24.99 billion dollars.
This online startup idea is best for journalists, copywriters and other professionals who already have some experience in the field of quality text creation. Doing a bit of research once again will be essential to get a better idea about the needs of the audience and the topics that can eventually prove to be most profitable in the long run.
Build a Popular YouTube ChannelWhile YouTube has now made it more difficult to monetize a channel, it’s still possible to use this opportunity.
YouTube content creators get a revenue share whenever ads are displayed and viewed on their content. Building a successful channel that sustains a startup is not easy. After all, there are numerous YouTube giants that have monopolized an array of fields. If you have extensive and deep knowledge in a certain area, however, you can still make it happen.
Understand the fact that to be profitable, you need to have hundreds of thousands of views. Once you get to millions of views, you can certainly consider yourself one of the big players. Such an accomplishment, however, will require putting out quality content on a daily basis until you build your fan base.
Monthly Box ServicesSpecialized monthly boxes focused on a certain theme (craft beers, natural makeup, luxury fashion items, handcrafted jewelry and accessories, etc.) are incredibly hip and trendy right now. If you have a great idea, you can quickly establish a list of loyal customers that will help your startup grow.
Anything from nutritional supplements to gourmet foods and even biking equipment can be put in a monthly subscription box.
Choose a theme that you’re passionate about and that you can have deliveries on every single month. The terms and conditions of the delivery partnership will also be important to ensure the survival of the business in the long run.
Freelance ServicesSo many businesses are outsourcing processes because of the cost-efficiency and the reliability of working with small service providers.
People who are knowledgeable in certain areas can quickly establish a startup offering services to clients from all parts of the world.
Are you a graphic designer? Do you have experience in the field of search engine optimization (SEO)? Do you think you can work as a virtual assistant (VA)? Or maybe a translator? A website developer? A project manager?
Dozens of platforms make it easy for freelancers to connect with potential clients and pitch their offers. While the competition is huge and many freelancers from third world countries bring down the cost of execution, it is still possible to build a successful service provision agency that will eventually grow.
These are just a few of the options you can try out to start an online business. Determine what you want to do, how much you can invest in the idea and what the future development of your company looks like. Think about the startup in the long-run and don’t limit yourself to immediate profitability. If you do the work and you commit yourself to the realization of the idea in the years to come, chances are that you will soon see a significant return on investment.

Coming to the most affordable of the E5 models, suitable for buyers on a tight budget. The smartphone doesn’t have much, which is of course why they cost a relatively lesser amount . The Moto E5 Play is not much of an upgrade compared to last year’s Moto E4, which is why you shouldn’t get your hopes up on this one. Enough said, the smartphone still has some nice features like fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE to mention a few.
With the Moto E5 Play in hand, you will find out there is not much of a difference compared to last year’s Moto E4 smartphone. Firstly, it is made of plastic which can take a hit but still lacks the premium feel glass and metal build gives a smartphone. Also, it has a 16:9 aspect ratio, rather than 18:9 aspect ratio recent featured in recent smartphones. However, it is a bit portable despite the evident presence of bezels on the smartphone.
As regards the display on the smartphone, the Moto E5 Play comes with an HD LCD panel hugged by obvious bezels. With the budget status of the smartphone, you cannot but excuse the quality of display you get. The smartphone has a 5.2-inch 1280 X 720 pixels display, which has good enough colour reproduction and viewing angle.
Battery and CameraYou could say the smartphone is the odd one out in terms of battery capacity compared to its peers. Unlike the Moto E5 & E5 Plus that has 4, 000mAh and 5, 000mAh respectively. The Moto E5 Play only has a 2, 800mAh battery which is way below compared to others in the series. On the flip side, it is removable and you can always switch out low batteries for a charged one.
For photography, the Moto E5 Play has a humbled version of what you have in the more premium E5 variants. Equipped with an 8MP camera on the rear side encompassed by the conventional large circle Moto smartphones are known for. On the selfie stage, the smartphone comes along with a 5MP camera and flash in case of darkness.
Hardware and SoftwareUnder the hood, the smartphone harbours a Quad-core Qualcomm MSM8917 Snapdragon 425 processor, which is sort of ideal for a budget smartphone like this one. With a chipset having a clock speed of 1.4GHz, the smartphone should perform quite well. While graphics is handled by none other than an Adreno 308 GPU.
On the other hand, the smartphone has a 2GB RAM combined with 32GB internal storage Going further, this can be extended with up to 128GB size memory card. You’d also get to experience the latest Android 8.0 Oreo with some perks added to it.
Pricing and AvailabilityThere’s not much information about when the smartphone will go on sale but should be around 36, 000 naira depending on your location and the deal.
Here are a few specs of the Moto E5 Play:

Introducing the best of the E5-series recently unveiled by Motorola in the launch event held in Brazil. Unarguably, the Moto E5 Plus has the most attractive spec sheet and is definitely going to cost you more compared to the others, although not quite as much as the Moto G6 Plus. Besides having a large screen the Moto E5 Plus has an enormous battery capacity. As if this is not enough, the smartphone comes with a nice metallic design with minimal bezels.
A little flash back to the last generation of the E-series, the Moto E4 Plus had a plastic build but the new Moto E5 sports a nice metallic chassis. There’s a clear cut bump in aesthetics as this new smartphone has an impressive 18:9 aspect ratio with deliberate effort to minimize unnecessary bezels, thus, accomodating more screen space. You will find Motorola branded on the bezel below the screen while at the back you’ve got the fairly large camera module and the Moto logo which also doubles as a fingerprint sensor.
Speaking on the display featured on the Moto E5 Plus, it is important to note that this is a budget offering so don’t expect to see a stellar display like the Samsung Galaxy S9 or Huawei P20 Pro. In that regard, there’s a 6.0-inch, 1440 x 720 pixels display with a pixel density of 268 ppi and a fairly decent viewing angle.
Battery and CameraBacked up by a behemoth battery like this one, it is feasible to go up to day without plugging your smartphone after a full charge. It is always nice to have the combination of a large battery and quick charge technology, which translates to lesser charge time and longer usage time. As you have with several smartphones out there, the 5, 000mAh battery on the smartphone is not removable.
Hardware and SoftwareOn the inside, like every other budget smartphone, you’ll have to make do with a low tier SoC from Qualcomm. The Moto E5 Plus makes do with a Quad-core Qualcomm MSM8917 Snapdragon 425 chipset running at 1.4GHz. This is accompanied by Adreno 505 GPU taking care of graphics related issues like gaming and so on.
Going further, the smartphone impresses with a 3GB RAM and a 32GB internal storage to compliment. However, if you like to go on a download spree, this might not be enough for you, so you are provided with a dedicated slot that supports up to 128GB expansion. Plus you also get the latest Android 8.0 experience from the get go.
Pricing and AvailabilityThere’s no word yet on its price tag or availablity although pricing should be around 95, 000 naira depending on the deal and your location.
Here are a few specs of the Moto E5 Plus:
General Features Platform: Android 8.0 Oreo Processor: Quad-core Qualcomm MSM8917 Snapdragon 425 GPU: Adreno 308 Memory: 3GB Colours: Black, Flash gray, Mineral blue, Fine Gold Dimension: 160.9 x 75.3 x 9.4 mm Weight: 196.6g SIM Type: Nano sim SIM Count: Dual sim Display Display: 6.0-inch, IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 1440 X 720 pixels (268 ppi) Screen Protection: – Camera Rear Camera: 12MP camera, 1080p Video@30fps Rear Camera Features: phase detection and laser autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama Front Camera: 8MP camera, 720p Video@30fps Storage Built-in Storage: 32GB Memory Card Support: Yes, up to 128GB Bundled Cloud Storage: – Network Support 2G GSM: Yes 2G CDMA 1X: Yes 3G WCDMA: Yes 3G CDMA EVDO: Yes 4G LTE: LTE band 1(2100), 2(1900), 3(1800), 4(1700/2100), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 12(700), 13(700), 14(700), 17(700), 25(1900), 26(850), 29(700), 30(2300), 38(2600), 41(2500), 66(1700/2100) Internet & Connectivity GPRS: Yes EDGE: Yes 3G/WCDMA/HSPA: Yes HSPA+: Yes, 42.2/5.76 Mbps CDMA EVDO: Yes 4G LTE: Yes, LTE Cat 4 150/50Mbps WLAN: Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, WiFi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot: Yes Bluetooth: Yes, v4.2 with A2DP, LE NFC: – Infrared Blaster: – USB Port: MicroUSB 2.0 Messaging SMS/MMS: Yes Instant Messaging: Yes Push Emails: Yes Email Protocol: – Entertainment Music Player: MP3/eAAC+/WAV/Flac player Video Player: DivX/WMV/MP4/H.264 player FM Radio: Yes Loudspeaker: Yes 3.5mm Jack: Yes Navigation Navigation: Yes, with A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS Maps: Yes Sensors & Control Digital Compass: – Accelerometer: Yes Proximity Sensor: Yes Light Sensor: Yes Barometer: – SpO2: – Pedometer: – Heart Rate Monitor: – Gyroscope: – Fingerprint Scanner: Yes, (rear) Iris Scanner: – Face Unlock: – Intelligent Digital Assistant: – Motion Sensing / Gesture Control: – Voice Control: – Other Features Video Streaming: Yes Active Noise Cancellation: Yes Wireless Charging: – Built-in Mobile Payment: – Water Resistant: – Dust Resistant: – Image Editor: Yes Video Editor: Yes Document Viewer: Yes Document Editor: Yes Battery Battery: 5, 000mAh non removable Li-ion battery Talktime: – Standby Time: – Fast Charging: YesThe post Moto E5 Plus Specs and Price appeared first on Nigeria Technology Guide.
Motorola added to the E-series in its latest release event in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The Moto E5-series unveiled comprises of more budget smartphones compared to the G6 smartphones. Even the least of the G6 bunch, which is the Moto G6 Play is more expensive than the Moto E5 by quite a sum. Despite this, the Moto E5 has some decent features some of which even equals that of the more premium Moto G6 Play like rear camera, screen size and resolution.
Although, the Moto E5 does not have the attractive glass finish seen in the more expensive G6 series. However, at the front, both smartphones appears to be more alike especially with the Moto G6 Play. Built in line with the latest design trend like trimmed bezels and 18:9 aspect ratio and offering a wider display in landscape. It is encased in an aluminium body with a large camera module at the rear, typical of Moto smartphones. While the Motorola logo you see at the back is the fingerprint sensor.
Like I said earlier, the smartphone is more or less the same with the G6 In the display section having the same size and resolution as well as a similar trimmed down bezels approach. Extending up to 5.7-inch in size, the Moto E5 has 1440 X 720 pixels resolution and pixel density of 282 ppi. Also, you get a Corning Gorilla Glass protection against scratches.
Battery and CameraThe work of keeping your smartphone on, is in the good hands of an ample battery from Motorola. With a staggering 4, 000mAh capacity, the smartphone should be good for a day plus on normal usage. You also get fast charging to boost the smartphone in no time through its MicroUSB port.
At the rear side is where the action is on this smartphone when it comes to taking pictures as it has the same offering as the Moto G6 Play while the front camera has a relatively slight downgrade. This means you have a 13MP camera and a 5MP front camera. A quite decent arrangement on a budget smartphone.
Hardware and SoftwareDriven by a budget Qualcomm SoC, which is only befitting for the price you are paying and handles things quite well. That being said, there’s a Qualcomm MSM8917 Snapdragon 425 with four cores clocking at 1.4GHz. In addition, the smartphone sorts out it’s graphics with an Adreno 308 GPU.
In continuance, the Moto E5 has 2GB of internal memory and also 16GB of built-in storage space which is quite small in today’s world. However, you could expand this by adding up to 128GB which is most likely to happen considering the low storage plus you get the Android 8.0 Oreo pre-installed.
Pricing and AvailabilityThe Moto E5 is not available yet, although reports suggest that it will be on sale come June for about 62, 000 naira depending on the deal and your location.
Here are a few specs of the Moto E5:
General Features Platform: Android 8.0 Oreo Processor: Quad-core Qualcomm MSM8917 Snapdragon 425 GPU: Adreno 308 Memory: 2GB Colours: Flash gray, Fine Gold Dimension: 154.4 x 72.2 x 9 mm Weight: 174g SIM Type: Nano sim SIM Count: Dual sim Display Display: 5.7-inch, IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 1440 X 720 pixels (282 ppi) Screen Protection: Corning Gorilla Glass Camera Rear Camera: 13MP camera, 1080p Video@30fps Rear Camera Features: phase detection and laser autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama Front Camera: 5MP camera, 720p Video@30fps Storage Built-in Storage: 16GB Memory Card Support: Yes, up to 128GB Bundled Cloud Storage: – Network Support 2G GSM: Yes 2G CDMA 1X: Yes 3G WCDMA: Yes 3G CDMA EVDO: Yes 4G LTE: LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 20(800), 38(2600), 40(2300) Internet & Connectivity GPRS: Yes EDGE: Yes 3G/WCDMA/HSPA: Yes HSPA+: Yes, 42.2/5.76 Mbps CDMA EVDO: Yes 4G LTE: Yes, LTE Cat 4 150/50Mbps WLAN: Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, WiFi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot: Yes Bluetooth: Yes, v4.2 with A2DP, LE NFC: – Infrared Blaster: – USB Port: MicroUSB 2.0 Messaging SMS/MMS: Yes Instant Messaging: Yes Push Emails: Yes Email Protocol: – Entertainment Music Player: MP3/eAAC+/WAV/Flac player Video Player: DivX/WMV/MP4/H.264 player FM Radio: Yes Loudspeaker: Yes 3.5mm Jack: Yes Navigation Navigation: Yes, with A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS Maps: Yes Sensors & Control Digital Compass: – Accelerometer: Yes Proximity Sensor: Yes Light Sensor: Yes Barometer: – SpO2: – Pedometer: – Heart Rate Monitor: – Gyroscope: – Fingerprint Scanner: Yes, (rear) Iris Scanner: – Face Unlock: – Intelligent Digital Assistant: – Motion Sensing / Gesture Control: – Voice Control: – Other Features Video Streaming: Yes Active Noise Cancellation: Yes Wireless Charging: – Built-in Mobile Payment: – Water Resistant: – Dust Resistant: – Image Editor: Yes Video Editor: Yes Document Viewer: Yes Document Editor: Yes Battery Battery: 4, 000mAh non removable Li-ion battery Talktime: – Standby Time: – Fast Charging: YesThe post Moto E5 Specs and Price appeared first on Nigeria Technology Guide.

1. Choose a good web hosting partnerThe hosting of your WordPress site can have a huge impact on the loading speed of your site. Many a time, website owners choose to use a shared hosting provider to cut down on cost but this can turn to be an expensive approach in the long run.
While cutting down on cost is a desire for any business owner, choosing a shared hosting provider can lead to low site speed and regular downtime especially when the site is experiencing high traffic.
Shared hosting providers allocate the same server space to other multiple websites and this affects the performance.
2. Optimize your homepage to increase the loading-speedThe homepage is the first place on your website where your visitors will land. You need to capture their attention within a blink of an eye so that they can hang around. But this will happen if you have a fast-loading home page. To optimize your home page for faster loading, you should:

Technology has advanced and this can be done using some good plugins such as WP Smush and EWWW Image Optimizer. Some of these plugins are even free so you don’t have to couch out money to use them. Utilizing these and many other plugins on your WordPress site will drastically minimize image sizes and hence boost your site speed.

If you have gone through our offerings in the entry-level market (phones under #20,000 and #30,000), considered what we put together in the lower midrange to upper midrange shelves (phones under #40,000, #50,000, #60,000 and #70,000), you might be ready for the next stages.
Having begun the next level with devices that start at #80,000, here we are again with the list of best android phones under 90000 naira.
Trust me, you are going to get so much more value for the money here too like we have been doing all along.
1 Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro
Starting off the list is the biggest name in the Android game right now – Samsung. With their Galaxy J5 Pro offering comes a 5.2-inch HD screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 which somehow manages to squeeze in an octa-core processor that clocks at a maximum of 1.6GHz.
On the top of the screen is a front camera rated at 13MP. This time, Samsung did one for the selfie lovers. They kept the back sensor at 13MP too and equipped it with a LED flash to better capturing in low-light.
More than that, the 2GB RAM device has 16GB internal storage space that can easily be expanded, all thanks to the microSD card slot on board.
Of course, it would be a shame if this device did not have a fingerprint sensor to call its own. Embedded in the home button, that provides for even more security.
Running the Android 7.0 and packing 4G LTE support out of the box, a 3000mAh battery keeps the lights on.
2 Nokia 6
The resurgence of Nokia in the market saw the introduction of such units as the Nokia 6. This powerhouse is equipped with a 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen which has as much as 1920 x 1080 pixels that works into about 403 ppi.
With that kind of resolution, it needs no telling that the device comes with the latest 18:9 aspect ratio. Protected by Corning Gorilla Glass technology, looking under this screen shows other interesting configurations.
Some of such are the pairing of a 3GB RAM to 32GB of storage. We would have loved to see at least 64GB here but there is a consolation in the offering of a microSD card slot for expansion up to 128GB.
On the front is the 8MP snapper while a 16MP sensor sits on the back with its LED flash. Running Android 7.1 Nougat with option to upgrade to Android 8.0 Oreo, this Nokia 6 packs a decent 3000mAh battery to get users between charges.
3 Gionee A1
Another 5.5-inch offering is the Gionee A1 which offers you what it calls Super Selfie. While we get to that in a moment, let’s lead with the fact that a 1920 x 1080 resolution also gives you the new 18:9 aspect ratio should you be a fan of the new fad.
Besides that, you get a dual SIM device with 4G capabilities offering you as much as 4GB RAM on a 2.0GHz octa-core CPU. With 32GB internal storage space, Gionee compensates in the offering of a microSD card slot that gets the storage up to 256GB.
Running on Amigo OS which was based largely on the Android Nougat 7.0, Gionee hopes a 4010mAh battery will get you through the day.
Did we forget something? Oh! The Super Selfie feature is backed by the introduction of a 16MP front camera and a smaller 13MP snapper out back.
4 Moto G5 Plus
After the Lenovo acquisition of Motorola, they have been putting out some clean units. One of such is the Moto G5 Plus which dons a beautiful 5.2-inch HD screen. We almost shouldn’t mention that it is an 18:9 screen with its 1920 x 1080 p resolution working in to about 424 ppi.
Interestingly, this is the first device on this list to pack a Qualcomm processor – the SD 650 chipset. That is paired to a configuration of 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.
Motorola promises that their 3000mAh battery will get you through the whole day. While we don’t have data to back up that information, we know that a 5MP selfie camera and 12MP rear snapper are on board for camera duties.
Sporting a fingerprint sensor for better security, Android 7.0 Nougat is once again at the heart of affairs
5 Infinix Note 4 Pro
The biggest flagship launched by Infinix last year is the Note 4 Pro. This became the first smartphone from the company to offer support for a stylus pen (sold separately), but it has even more interesting things to offer us.
For one, the 5.7-inch screen makes it more fitting for the hand and its 1080 x 1920 pixels makes it better suited for the eyes. Unfortunately, the 18:9 fad was not in play when this one was being developed.
That won’t be a problem though. You will still have as much as 3GB RAM and 32GB of space to play around with. If that won’t be enough for you, you could opt to get more (as much as 128GB) with the hybrid microSD card slot.
A non-removable 4300mAh battery comes with this one. The good news is, Infinix is great with their Note batteries.
Packing an octa-core processor with 1.3GHz clock speed, a 13MP rear camera is paired to another single 8MP unit on the front.
6 Homtom S9 Plus
Homtom is not a big name in the Nigerian and African sphere yet, but they could as well be. The S9 Plus offering really pushes the edge, being one of the most affordable bezel-less units you can get out there.
It is also the first on this list to give us as much as 4GB of RAM and then go on to pair that with a massive 64GB internal storage space. As if that is not enough, the device still allows for expansion via the use of a microSD card slot.
Featuring a full metal build for premium effect, the 5.99-inch device sports a resolution of 720 x 1440. Just when we thought this device was done with the impressive specs, we find out that back features a dual 16MP + 5MP configuration.
The front is not left out of this run too with the sighting of a 13MP snapper there. Complete with a fingerprint sensor for added security and Nougat 7.0 to boot, a 4050mAh non-removable battery brings the proceedings to a halt
