In the past, your hosting options consisted of shared and dedicated hosting. But there is a powerful new option at your disposal today – cloud hosting. Many people have heard of cloud hosting; but few can explain what it truly means. In this article, Webhostingology, shows us what it means to be limited to Shared Hosting and how your site can benefit from migrating to a Cloud Hosting plan.
What is Shared Hosting?Shared hosting is a hosting setup whereby several sites are hosted on the same server. These sites share the cost of maintaining the server. For this reason, this hosting method is very affordable, which happens to be its greatest benefit.
The downside is that shared hosting is not ideal for sites that need lots of server resources or special hosting features. These users are better off using dedicated hosting, but that comes at a higher price. In fact, when using shared hosting, you have to remain with specified resource usage limits or risk service interruption.
According to Webhostingology, some of the benefits to using shared hosting include email and web mail services, basic technical support, updated MySQL and PHP, and automatic script installations. However, the host usually provides the server management services; although system administration privileges are given to many users.
A lot of companies provide shared hosting services. While some of these providers are small operations with a few clients, others are multinational corporations. Private shared hosting is also an option in an arrangement called cooperative hosting.
What is Cloud Hosting?“The cloud” is the driving force behind cloud hosting; which should explain the name cloud hosting. A cloud consists of several machines, or servers, working together as one. The benefits of cloud hosting, therefore, include better scalability, improved performance, and more reliability.
But one of the most prominent benefits of cloud hosting is scalability. With regular hosting paradigms, when a site gets too large, the server can get overwhelmed. Cloud hosting handles such issues brilliantly – the cloud-based servers automatically allocate more resources to the site that needs them.
In fact, cloud hosting is infinitely scalable. Cloud hosting also improves site redundancy in that even if a server fails, other interconnected servers are there to pick up the slack. Therefore, cloud hosting provides the best service guarantee a site owner could ever need.
Is Cloud Hosting same as Dedicated Hosting – virtually? Some people mistakenly think that cloud hosting has no performance improvements to offer in comparison to shared hosting. The truth is that with cloud hosting, server resources such as SSD storage and RAM are optimized for the user only.
That is not what happens with shared hosting, where access to server resources is restricted based on predetermined limits. In fact, cloud hosting is a lot like dedicated hosting as far as performance goes. However, there are some parallels between shared and cloud hosting.
For instance, everything in a cloud hosting platform can be managed from a single control panel. This is also what happens with shared hosting. Actually, to the website, as far as administration and deployment of application goes, cloud hosting is no different from shared hosting.
“But in reality”, as Alex Papaconstantinou, from Webhostingology.com, suggests, “a cloud hosting set up gives your website access to more resources. In short, cloud hosting offers scalability, security and reliability, while shared hosting does not”.

In today’s crypto post, we shall be talking about a newcomer in the crypto world that’s making waves and showing a whole lot of prospects. The coin under our beam light today is the Bitcoin Cash (otherwise BCH). Now, if perhaps this is your first time hearing the term “Bitcoin Cash”, I might as well use this opportunity to enlighten you that it is not the “cash you make from trading Bitcoin”, neither is it “Bitcoin in raw, physical cash”. However, if it is any compensation, you might be excited to know that if you thought “Bitcoin Cash” was in some ways related to the original “Bitcoin”, you were right.
Bitcoin is one of the most popular cryptocurrency at the moment. Being the pioneering coin in the crypto planet, Bitcoin sure came with its unique features and perks. BUT, things can, and will, always be worked and improved on. As the popularity, demand, and trade of Bitcoin grew, there were some setbacks and limitations that users faced – particularly scalability and transaction confirmation speed. Hence, to solve some of the issues Bitcoin faced, a new crypto was borne out of the model of Bitcoin, but this time, with some modifications.
Bitcoin Cash was created on August 1, 2017, following the “hard fork” of the classic / original Bitcoin. Don’t get the technical terms and jargons confuse you. Hard forking Bitcoin to create Bitcoin Cash increased the sizes of block in the network from 1 Megabyte to 8 Megabytes, allowing more transactions be processed in less time than Bitcoin classic – which is the basic goal of the Bitcoin Cash crypto.
Demystification: Think of “Hard fork” as an irreversible modification/ improvement. Need more detail on what “Hard fork” stands for, check out this resourceful article we found on it.
Really, BCH is a big deal of a cryptocurrency. It is currently (according to market capitalization rating of May 2018) the 4th biggest coin in the world and trades for more than a thousand USD per coin. For a crypto that is less than a year old, that is some interesting upswing.
Recently, the Bitcoin Cash underwent another “hard fork” which increased the block size from 8MB for a frigging large 32MB. This will, and should, translate into next to instant transaction rates and reduced transactional cost/ fee. In addition, with the recent hard fork also came Bitcoin Cash “Smart Contracts”. One of the possible drawbacks likely to arise as a result of the frequent increment in block size is “spamming”…which the BCH developers seek to prevent with “Satoshi Op-codes” – more like a tool to help developers create smart contracts.
How do I get BitCoin Cash (BCH)?Like other cryptocurrencies, there are basically 2 ways to getting Bitcoin Cash: Mining, or buying it. Or perhaps you have a rich uncle who decides to gift you some for your birthday or graduation.
Mining Bitcoin CashSince Bitcoin Cash is based (partly) on the same model that Bitcoin classic is built on, there is also a finite number of Bitcoin Cash that can also be mined. This number is pegged at 21 million but there are arguments that since Bitcoin Cash is constantly being hard forked, the limit could be extended to a higher number. But it probably wouldn’t.
The mining process of Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash are quite similar, only with some little differences. First, mining Bitcoin Cash requires lot more investment than mining Bitcoin; since BCH has bigger block size, more computing resources and power is needed. If you do not have these resources, it is advised you join a mining pool. A BCH mining pool consists of a number of individuals interested in pooing resources together to solve BCH mining puzzles.
Reward in the pool is shared on the basis of the level and portion of computing power contributed by each member. Successfully solving a puzzle means a block of transaction on the Bitcoin Cash network has been completed and the 12.5 BCH reward is allotted to the winner.
According to CoinTelegraph, the following are vital things to look for in a pool when choosing one:
How big the pool is? How often does the pool crack a puzzle/ block? Pool’s payout structure? Mining fees the pool charges, etc.Joining a mini pool is super easy. After finding a perfect pool to join, all you basically have to do next is sign up on their website and setup your account. To track your mining activity and contribution, you will be given a “worker ID”. Here are some of the popular pools to join to mine Bitcoin Cash; BTC.com, Bitcoin.com, AntPool, BTC.top, Genesis Mining, HashFlare F2Pool etc.
Trading Bitcoin CashThe point of mining Bitcoin Cash would be to trade them for some money, or other cryptos, right? Or you might just be interested in buying (investing in) some Bitcoin Cash to hold and hope the prices shoot through the sky in the later days or months. Well, to do any of these, you will definitely need a platform to do such. But first, you need a bag/wallet to keep your coin… and here are some of them:
Hardware Wallet – Ledger Nano S, Trezor, KeepKey Desktop Wallet – Bitcoin Classic UAHF Client, BU Cash Client, BTC.com, Jaxx, Electron Cash Mobile Wallet – Jaxx, Coinomi, Electron Cash, BTC.com Paper Wallet – Cash AddressGot a wallet? Good. Now you can proceed to selling or buying Bitcoin Cash on exchanges that trade BCH. Here are some of the best BCH exchanges; CEX.io, BTCBOX, HitBTC, Changelly, ShapeShift, Kraken and Poloniex.
All exchanges listed above support the deposit, withdrawal, and trading of Bitcoin Cash for cash or another crypto coin.
Let’s hear from you. Ever traded Bitcoin Cash before? How much do you know about BCH? Got any suggestions, corrections or questions? Hit us with it in the comments box below.

Introducing another Mini drone from the affordable segment of the market. The TianQu XS809W is a quadcopter with a number of goodies in its spec sheet and quite frankly at a cheap price. TianQu XS809W appears well built with foldable arms which takes its portability up a notch. However, a bit of a downside is that the propellers are not protected rather there’s a fail safe implementation we will be talking about later.

The drone as a nice black plastic finish accentuated by shades of yellow and has said earlier have foldable arms. The logic behind the foldable arms is that, it folds instead of breaking upon collision. Hemce, acting as a kind of protective measure in that case. At the back, you’ll find the battery slot where you slide and key the battery into place.
Under the drone, the camera is stationed but can be adjusted up or down to suit your style. The landing legs are directly under the propellers and could get in the way of folding unless you fold the rear one first.
PerformanceThe TianQu XS809W appears to be quite a nice quadcopter in the air with steady gait and nice yaw. It also responds well to controls and with a little deadzone once in a while. There are three speed levels only to choose from, although, the max speed is not really as fast as can be. Also, it has the customary skill set which includes flips, rolls etc on board as well as a one button land feature.
There is enough time on the TianQu XS809W drone, with up to 10 minutes of flight time depending on how you use it. You could go a little while longer by not using the video recording function or snapping pictures. To prevent crashing, the drone lands when the battery is getting low and also have headless mode for beginners.
ControlsFor controlling the drone, there’s a remote controller from the box which looks more or less like a gamepad. Like most drones, there is a kind of throttle on it that is used to navigate the drone through the flight as well as buttons for added functionality. At the top of the controller you’ve got an adjustable clip where you attach your smartphone. This is used when the FPV function wants to be utilized and that is done by connecting to the drones wi-fi signal through the drone App.
Image and VideoYou can’t expect much from this drone considering the price tag placed on it. Talking about live feed, the TianQu XS809W only broadcast it’s video in 480p quality through the wi-fi network. Despite the fact that the camera can be adjusted, it is still more or less stationary. Due to the fact that there is only a 0.3MP camera in place ,you will not be able to see more than what is in front of you.
Pricing and AvailabilityThe TianQu XS809W is available in a June of online stores for about 18, 000 naira depending on the deal and your location.
Here are a few specs of the TianQu XS809W:

Small time drone is a new buzz word , as it is more affordable and offers basic drone functionalities. The Syma X5SC is another drone in the Syma’s X5 series with some improvement compared to its predecessor as well as an improved design. You have some of the perks of even more expensive drones like headless mode, stunts like 360 flips, Above all the main attraction here is the nice build and number of features available at the slated price.

As recent quadcopters are made with propeller guards, the Syma X5SC”s prop guard comes in form of an extension at the base that goes beyond the propellers, thus protecting it. Another clear improvement is its legs that appears to be longer preventing the camera located under from touching the landing surface. Like its peers, the drone is made of plastic, but it can still take a hit plus most of the parts are replaceable.
You also have LED lights that signifies the orientation, whether front or back. Take note that the camera on the drone is stationary and positioned to face downward by default. That being said, the overall build is nice and quite elegant capable of taking flight after a minor crash.
PerformanceFlying the drone is pretty much a easy thing to do using the remote controller. There is also the famed headless mode which comes in handy for beginners. This is because beginners often operate the drone based on where they are facing rather than where the drone is facing. That being said, it flies quite well in still air, but you might find it difficult to move around in slight wind. Same as the rest of its peers, you might find it difficult to keep the drone steady in the air while maintaining the same altitude.
As I may have mentioned before, the drone can get quite acrobatic if you want it to with movements like 360° flips in all directions and barrel rolls. It is also capable of supplying live feed from the camera to you in real time as you fly.
ControlsOne of the items in the box as the Syma X5SC ships is a designated remote Controller with which you get to control the drone. Apart from the analog sticks which are loaded with springs to give a nice tactile feedback, there is an LCD screen that shows vital information such as battery level, signal strength and so on. The transmitter has a range of about 50m although you could increase this with a little tweak here and there.
Image and VideoPretty much like a number of other budget mini drones, the Syma X5SC has a somewhat low quality image and video resolution. Shooting from a 2MP HD camera stationed up front, the capture quality is not as clear as can be in higher priced ones.
Pricing and AvailabilityThe Syma X5SC is available for sale in various online stores for about 25, 000 naira depending on your location and the deal.
Here are a few specs of the Syma X5SC:
General Features Description: Quadcopter Platform Support: – Colours: Black and white Processor: – Memory: – Storage: 4GB with SD card Motor Type: – Dimension: 31.5 X 31.5 X 10.5 cm Weight: – Camera Resolution: 720p Video Recording: Yes EV Range: – Camera Angle Adjustment: – FPV: Yes Shooting Time Delay: – Field of Vision: – Features: – Drone Experience Sensors: – Satellite Navigation: – Flight Time: – Maximum Altitude: – Controller: – Functions: Headfree mode 360 Flips and barrel rolls Power Battery: 500mAh removable Li-Po battery Charging Time: 2 hoursThe post Syma X5SC Specs and Price appeared first on Nigeria Technology Guide.
