PROJECTOR VS TV: Which is Best For Your Home Theatre?

Everyone likes to take a break from their routine, frustrating week from work, where they could unload all their fatigue and tension culminating up in their heads all week. One of the most common ways to do that is to spend a cozy weekend night with your close ones in front of a screen, preferably watching a movie.

PROJECTOR OR TV

TV OR PROJECTOR?

Now the question is which screen should you choose in such cases? Would a Television screen be able to fulfill your needs, or will a Projector screen satisfy your demands? This article would enlighten your thought about which one to opt for.

Television is the more clichéd household item, used in almost every house. Specifically, 8 out of 10 houses have adapted to this screening method. Providing some quality entertainment, it succeeds in it’s purpose to display any sort of tv shows and various types of movies.

There have been myriads of cases in which TV screens have been reported to be damaged, due to it’s non-durable screen medium glass, which is known for its sensitiveness. Any sort of accident such as kids playing around could lead to a major loss and a heavy dent to your wallet...not to mention its expensive quality. It is indeed a valuable luxury that many won’t be able to afford again.

However, in the case of Projectors, there are no such drawbacks. A projector displays whatever you want to see by projecting light onto a wall, making that your screen, instead of a glass which is not much durable.

Comparatively, this is a lot more maintainable as influenced by the fact that it actually has no material or solid form of the display being put at risk of damage.
But the question remains the same

PROJECTOR VS TV: Which is Best For Your Home Theatre?

Projectors are cheaper than the usual cost price of televisions, granting people more convenience in buying it. Their sustainability is also a plus point in it attracting more sales as people would obviously go for something that would stick with them long term.

In accounts to it being convenient, projectors are very cost-effective, at least in terms of screen size for your dollar. You can get a decent home theater projector under $1000, whereas an 80-inch TV is going to cost you at least $1,500, if not much more.

Although projectors give more free hand in terms of finance, they limit the quality output as compared to TV’s. Modern TV’s provide 4K HDR OLED smart technology, portraying a very conspicuous and a crystal clear image.

Furthermore, the display of contrast and brightness of projectors may differ depending on if it is in a dark place or a lit up the place. Being in a place where there is light other than that of the projector, its display may be shown more vague and less clear.

CONCLUSION:

Now, the million-dollar question. Which screen is best? The advantages of projectors some of which such as financial convenience outweighs its drawbacks which is why it certainly wins this run, whereas TV’s, on the other hand, prove to be much more costly, risky and inappropriate for being trusted in being installed as part of your home theatre.
