The Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus doesn’t really have a sophisticated design, instead you have a simple outlook. It has a polished back that appears quite reflective in a glassy way. The camera arrangement looks very much like that of the Samsung Galaxy S9 wiht Samsung written boldly below it. At the front, you have bezels well reduced at the side but still very evident at the top and bottom.
Favouring the ongoing large size display predilection, the smartphone has a 6.0-inch display. Being an LCD screen, visibity is okay and typical of a budget smartphone. The resolution is somewhat on the low end as it is just a 720 X 1480 pixels with a pixel density of 274 ppi)
Battery and CameraBeing an average performer that it is, the Samsung J-series have never been about behemoth battery capacity. On the Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus, there is a 3 ,300mAh battery which is pretty much a day use at most. No fast charge is supported on the smartphone instead you will have to make do with the normal charging timeline.
You don’t have to expect a great camera on this smartphone being that it occupies the budget category. For what it’s worth, the smartphone has two cameras at the rear side comprising of a 13MP primary shooter and a 5MP camera with dual tone led flash. There’s a fair chance of a good selfie in good light condition with the 8MP front camera.

In the world of smartphones, the Lite version is always the cheaper version and this doesn’t change with the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite. Instead of the flagship status the other members of the Mi 8 family have, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite is more of a mid-range smartphone. Even the design shows a bit of a deviation from the others and unlike the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro it was released with it doesn’t have an underdisplay fingerprint. However, there are still some nice specs on the phone and it does impress in every way a mid-range smartphone should.

Design and Display
Despite falling to mid-range line, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite still retains a nice glass body with the beautiful gradient design seen in the high-end smartphones. There is an ideally placed fingerprint scanner and two cameras arranged side by side to the left. Depending on your style you can pick from options ranging from Twilight gold, Dream blue to Deep space gray colour design. Nonetheless there is a notch still present on top of the display with a sleek frame that has a thickness of 7.5mm.
You’ve still got a large display even on the Lite version, although, not quite the same as the more premium models. Yet, it is still a very nice setup with an LCD screen rather than the much attractive OLED screen which is also more expensive. With a 1080 x 2280 pixels resolution, the 6.26-inch display is good enough on a mid-range smartphone.
Battery and CameraThe Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite is a decent power house in the battery segment on normal usage. Having a 3, 500mAh, there is quite aenough juice to take you to the end of the day. Charging is also faster now with the Quick Charge 3.0 on the smartphone, a step away from the 4.0+ on the Mi 8 Pro.
A fair share of downscaling have been done to the camera on board as it is a Lite version. Still, the set of camera here is quite impressive at the mid-range level. The rear has a main 12MP camera and a 5MP secondary sensor while the front is manned by a 24MP camera up in the notch.
Hardware and SoftwareYou have an eight core chipset ticking under the hood of the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite. The ThinkPad T580 comes with the signature appearance and design of other notebooks in the ThinkPad series — a boring black/blue coloured chassis with a silver ‘ThinkPad’ inscription neatly embedded at the top corner. Disappointedly, the top and bottom chassis T580 is made out of plastic material which quietens the premiumness of the device. The choice of carbon-fiber is however understandable as it helps make the device lightweight.
Opening the lid reveals the usual inner aesthetic you’d fine on many ThinkPads — touchpad left and right clickers/buttons with red trim at the top, well-spaced backlit keyboard, and the ThinkPad’s signature red TrackPoint rubber nub. The keyboard keys are well spread to the edges of the frame and have a key travel of 1.7 millimeters, requiring as little as 68grams of force to effect a press; similar to the ASUS Zenbook 13 UX331.
Extra keys like a secondary backspace button, dedicated calculator launch key and dedicated Print Screen key further spice up the keyboard. About the touchpad, you might not like that it is skewed a lot to the left and not placed at the centre of the bottom frame. Likewise the fingerprint scanner too.
DisplayThe Lenovo ThinkPad T580 comes with a 15.6-inch IPS 16:9 display with a Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and pixel density of about 142 ppi. The display comes in touchscreen and non-touch Creek options with decent brightness (averages 288 nits). There is a more expensive version of the ThinkPad T580 with better display quality — a beefed up UHD 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution.
Overall, the display of the Lenovo ThinkPad T580 is decent enough; boasts of good contrast and comfortable viewing angles.
