The HP ProBook 650 G4 is HP’s latest rendition of the ProBook line of business-focused laptops and also comes as the sequel to the HP ProBook 650 G3. The notebook features the same sturdy build as its predecessor but with a better design. It also comes with even better internal hardware for improved performance and other powerful security features at almost the same price-level.
HP ProBook 650 G4 Key Specifications Display —15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution display in 16:9 aspect ratio, 141ppi pixel density Dimension and weight — 24 x 377 x 257 mm (H x W x D); 2.2 kg CPU — Intel Core i5-8250U Graphics — Intel UHD Graphics 620 Memory (RAM) — 6GB or 8GB DDR4 (up to 32GB) Built-in Storage — 256GB Operating system — Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit Battery — 48 Wh Lithium-Ion Ports — 3 x USB 3.0 / 3.1 Gen1, 1 x HDMI, 1 x DisplayPort, 1 x Kensington Lock, 1 Serial Port, 1 Docking Station Port, MicroSD card reader, 1 SmartCard, Design and DisplayThe HP ProBook 650 G4 isn’t an entirely affordable business notebook but disappointedly, the body build does give it off as one. The laptop’s top and bottom chassis is made entirely out of plastic and is a bit thick and bulky; carrying a 2.2kg laptop to and from work every day could be stressing.
Like the previous ProBooks, the top lid with the display is held with the bottom chassis by two small hinges placed at equal distance from the left and right-hand side. The notebook isn’t a convertible as the hinges only allow for a maximum opening angle of 135°.
The screen used on this device is an LCD display which is available in two different options on the basis of quality and preference. The base model of the HP ProBook 650 G4 comes with a non-touch HD TN display panel with 1,366 x 768 pixels resolution. The second model has an IPS panel touchscreen with Full HD (1920 x1080 pixels) resolution. The display is matte and the brightness level is above 200cd/me which makes it suited for outdoor usage.
Being a business laptop, the ProBook 650 G4 comes with almost all the ports you could possibly need at work. On the right, there’s an HDMI port, micro SD card slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, two USB 3.0 port, 1 USB 3.1 Type-C, RJ45 Ethernet ports, docking port, and DC jack are located.
On the left side, the port selection includes the smart card reader, DVD optical drive, and Kensington lock. The fingerprint sensor for Windows Hello biometric authentication is also on the bottom-right side of the bottom chassis.
The keyboard is also decent enough for everyday usage. There are six rows of medium-sized keys, all with smooth surface and adequate keypress and key travel for optimal typing experience. The ProBook 650 G4 also comes with a dedicated number block.
Performance and StorageThere are about four models of the HP ProBook 650 G4 which come in different built-in memory, processor, and internal storage configurations. The base model starts at 8GB RAM coupled with an Intel Core i5-8250U CPU and 256GB of internal storage. Buyers can also choose to configure the ProBook 650 G4 with an Intel Core i7-8550U CPU and a 16GB of RAM or crank it up to 32GB using of the empty SO-DIMM slots.
Also in charge of graphics is Intel’s UHD Graphics 620 GPU which performs excellently on the average. The performance of the GPU, however, throttles when the notebook runs in battery mode.
BatteryIn terms of battery capacity and usage period, the HP ProBook 650 G4 is akin to many business-focused notebooks you’d find in the industry. It comes with a 48 Wh battery capacity which lasts between 8-9 hours of usage on a full charge. Charge time, on the other hand, takes a little above 2 hours.
PricingDepending on the storage and processor configuration you choose to buy, the price varies accordingly. The price of the base model of ProBook 650 G4 (with 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, and Intel Core i5 CPU) starts from USD $1,229.

It’s the Be-All and End-All Vape Pen:Hate traveling with different vape pens and different vape paraphernalia? The G Pen Nova might just be the vape pen you never knew you needed and the only vape pen you’ll ever need.
One of G Pen Nova’s strongest suit is its ability to vaporize both botanical dry herb blends as well as waxy concentrates.
And, while other vape pens use different atomizers or heating elements to vaporize either wax or herb, the G Pen Nova uses only one atomizer – how convenient is that?
Unlike other vape pens that necessitates complicated steps and requires you to lug around additional equipment, especially when you plan on vaping different materials when you’re out and about, the Nova offers a seamless vaping experience.
The dual-purpose atomizers are made from high-quality materials and combine two of today’s most-used variety of mineral for heating elements.
Nova’s tanks use both quartz and ceramic to deliver smooth tasting vapors that are potent and flavorful. The heating element utilizes ceramic’s even heating capabilities as well as quartz’s fast acting properties.
Both mineral components are inert and are carefully selected so as to ensure that the materials you put in are faithfully preserved.
With this innovative design Nova’s tanks allow vapor yields that have exceptional flavor and increased potency – no toxic by-products, just clean and tasty vapors. Nothing beats having a single pen for vaping botanicals and extracts.
Why the G Pen Nova is The Swiss Army Knife Of Vape Pens:Apart from its dual-purpose tank, the G Pen Nova has other purposeful features designed and engineered for both herb and concentrate aficionados.
The Nova is outfitted with an integrated ceramic loading tool that’s conveniently placed under its mouthpiece. This loading tool is ideal for concentrates and other waxy extracts but can also be used to pick up nugs or whole chunks of flowers and buds.
This means you won’t have to bring any loading tool when you plan on vaping outdoors and even when you’re just too lazy to get that loading tool once you sit down on your favorite couch.
The G Pen Nova is also equipped with three voltage settings that lets you customize your vaping sessions depending on what material you’re using or what kind of high you want to achieve.
An extended draw mode is also included which allows you to consistently heat your materials without having to press down and hold the power button.
It’s best for group sessions and for when you want to experience and reap the benefits of your materials and everything else in between it has to offer. So, what are you waiting for? Grab a G Pen Nova now!

The blockchain is a transparent and distributed ledger that uses various forms of cryptography to digitally sign blocks of data to ensure the integrity of the data and remove third-party intermediary.
Today, we will focus on the two main technologies in a typical blockchain implementation; distributed ledger and cryptography. The different implementation might add to this but this is the basic technology stack for blockchain.
Distributed LedgerA distributed ledger database is really the core value of a blockchain technology implementation. It is basically storing a series of transactions in a way where the hash or cryptographical signature or the previous transaction is used to encrypt the next transaction.
The combination of the hash from the previous transaction and the current transaction provide unique ‘blocks’ of data that only mathematically make sense in the order they were created and stored.
There are variations to distributed ledger technology such as if it is private or public, what type of hash is used, is there a ‘work’ mechanism and what type of peer to peer networking is implemented, but this series of blocks that have a hash-based integrity mechanism is the core of distributed ledger technology.
CryptographyCryptography is a process of constructing and analyzing protocols that prevent third parties or the public from decoding private messages. cryptography is used in various aspects of information security like authentication, data confidentiality and data integrity.
There are many types of cryptography. Typically, for the majority of popular blockchain implementations, hashes and public key cryptography are used to ensure distributed ledger integrity.
For example, Bitcoin uses SHA-256 to determine the hashcash cost in blocks before they are created.
Hashcash cost is a method of slowing down the cryptographical discovery which in Bitcoin provides the award or the actual Bitcoin.
There are often other technologies used in blockchain implementations such as Proof Of Work protocol but this is typically only in public systems.
Proof of Stake systems is found in private implementations.
The data and the type of hashing vary as well but if you understand the distributed ledger and the cryptography of hashing then you will understand how these variations only go to serve the above-mentioned technologies used in the blockchain.
