The 2018 Edition of the IFA 2018 event will go down in history as one of the most memorable edition of the event ever held. The event saw the birth to many groundbreaking innovations from many laptop and Notebook manufacturers. Lenovo, for example, announced the monstrous 64GB RAM ThinkPad X1 Xtreme to rival Apple’s MacBook Pro 15 and the Yoga Book 2 with no physical keyboard. It is in the light of groundbreaking innovations that Acer also announced a version of its Swift 7 ultra-slim notebook.
Dubbed the “World’s Thinnest Laptop”, the Acer Swift 7 released at the IFA 2018 serves as an upgrade to the model unveiled at the CES 2018. The latest Acer Swift 7 (in this overview) comes with slimmer chassis, edge-to-edge display, redesigned keyboard, and a couple of other interesting features that books it a place at the top of the “best slimmest laptops” chart.
Acer Swift 7 Key Specifications Dimension — 12.91 x 9.33 x 0.35 inches (32.8 x 23.7 x 0.89 cm) Display — 14-inch Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 resolution) CineCrystal IPS touchscreen display Weight — 1.18 kg (2.6 pounds) CPU — 1.3GHz Intel Core i7-7Y75 (dual-core, 4MB cache, up to 3.6GHz) Operating system — Windows 10 Graphics (GPU) — Intel HD Graphics 615 RAM — 8GB LPDDR3 Storage — 256GB NVMe SSD Connectivity — Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Camera — HD (720p) webcam with dual microphones Ports — 2 x Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C), headset jackNot only is the Acer Swift 7 scintillatingly designed to radiate how svelte-ness should be executed on a laptop, it also is as simple as it comes. Can’t picture how slim the Swift 7 is? The bottom chassis and top lip is just as slim as the iPhone X.
The entirety of the Swift 7’s body is made from black CNC aluminum, giving it an admirable outer aesthetic. On a slab, table, or a flat surface, the Acer Swift 7 almost seem like a piece of metal with a sliver ‘Acer’ logo and 2 hinges that can go 180° backwards and forward.
Compared to the earlier Swift 7, this latest model comes with edge-to-edge display as a result of Acer shrinking the bezels to effect a 15 percent size reduction. Don’t get confused, it still comes with the same 14-inch Full HD display, on a smaller an slimmer body though. Due to the shrunken (4.27mm) bezels, the webcam on the Acer Swift 7 has been moved below the display — a totally awkward position.
The Swift 7 sports a comfortable chiclet (or island-style) type of keyboard where the keys are in the shape of small squares with rounded corners and straight sides. Unlike the old Swift 7, the keyboard on this verison is backlit but has a shallow keypress. To the left of the keyboard is a fingerprint reader for biometric login via Windows Hello.
Below the keyboard is a big (4.8 x 2.5-inch) touchpad that doesn’t click, made of Gorilla Glass, and comes with support for Windows multi-touch gestures. The absence of physical click in the touchpad might take some time getting acquainted to but the surface is smooth and touches are super responsive and accurate… and you’d get used to it.
As it is with many slim laptops out there, sacrifices has to be made in the ports department. The Acer Swift 7 comes with only two USB-C ports located on the device’s left-hand side alongside the 3.5mm headphone jack. The power button and a Nano SIM slot (yes, the laptop is 4G LTE compatible) are the only occupants of the Swift 7’s right side.
Underneath the Swift 7 modern finely-constructed body is a getting-out-of-date 7th generation Intel Core i7-7Y75 processor that gives cheaper and equally-priced rival slim laptops (with 8th-Gen Intel chips) an edge over it in terms of performance. It will, however, do pretty well handling basic and even heavy operations. The Y-series Intel chip used on Acer Swift 7 is specifically made for slim, low power laptop designed without fans.
Battery-wise, the Swift 7, according to Acer, can supply up to 10 hours of usage time on a full charge. The battery is said to be a two-cell lithium-ion battery which, unlike regular Laptop batteries, is 23-percent slimmer.
The Acer Swift 7 is a $1,699 ultra-slim laptop that is just about thick as your smartphone. The edge-to-edge display, redefined touchpad, LTE support, and fingerprint reader are other plus sides to the Swift 7. Though the position of the webcam might be weird, and the touchpad design might take time wrapping ones head around, the Acer Swift 7 ultra-slim design is worth the price it sells for. It is suitable for use by students, business individuals, creatives, and professionals in search of a portable PC.

So as we all know, nowadays everything is advancing and so many things have changed over the last 5-10 years. Let’s just take a moment and remember what types of games we used to play on our PC or console in the year 2000 and now look how far these gaming companies have come to improve our gaming experience. I remember my first PC, it was 2007 and my PC’s specs were:-
Hard Disk:- 160GB
RAM:- 500MB
Graphics Card:- 64MB (yes you read it correctly)
The games are getting better day by day and their size is increasing too. I am sure many of you guys have faced problems in playing latest games on your PC or console.
Sometimes your PC doesn’t meet the requirements which are needed by the game or sometimes the Storage level of your Hard Drive is low, so if you even downloaded the game properly, without the proper space needed by your PC or console the game may lag and you will not have the best gaming experience.
See the latest games like God of War or Halo can take up to 100GB of your hard drive. And most of the times we don’t have this much space on our PC or Console.
So today we will be talking about the best hard drive you can install in your PC or Console for gaming.
Buying a new PC or console can be very expensive and most of us cannot afford to pay like $700-$2000 just for gaming. So by installing the new hard drive on your existing PC or Console, you are saving a lot of money. You will also get the best gaming experience possible so we all can see how this might be a smart choice.
Now there are a few questions you need to answer before buying a hard disk.
Does the speed of Hard Drive really matter? If you are playing a single player mode then yes the speed matters big time. Nobody likes when the loading screen comes up and do not go away very quickly. Eg:- GTA 5, this game takes a lot of time in loading, so with a faster hard drive the loading will be faster and you can enjoy your games at maximum level.
But if you are the kinda guy who likes to challenge other players. Then you won’t have any issue with the speed because in multiplayer games everyone loads at the same time so it doesn’t really matter if you have a faster drive or a little slower.
But if the speed is really all you then you should try the SSD.
What’s best for me in the hard disk store (Space Needed)So there are different types of gamers out there and everybody has their own choice of gaming. Now if you are a casual gamer and like playing games but you do not play more than one or two at a time. Like if you only have FIFA 18 and Fortnite on your PC or console then you don’t need a big hard drive eg: 4TB. You can easily use 1TB for PC and 500GB on your consoles like PlayStation, Xbox etc.
But if you are a true gamer and like to play different games of different genres, and want your experience to be absolutely flawless and superb. Then you should definitely go for 2TB and above for PC and 1TB and above for your Console.
Solid State Drive (SSD)?Solid State Drive is made for speed. If you guys want speed on your PC then choose SSD because our traditional Hard Drive cannot beat SSD in the matter of raw speed. SSD provides faster Loading times and faster in-game texture streaming.
Size of Hard DriveSo there is usually two sizes of the hard drive.
3.5 and 2.5, now the 3.5 inches hard drive is our standard Hard Drive and 2.5 inches hard drive is our slimmer hard drive.
So 2.5 is a little expensive than 3.5. So 3.5 is usually for PC and 2.5 for laptops. 3.5 is a little faster than 2.5 in performance but it’s hardly noticeable.
So now comes the main question. Which hard disk to buy?We have gathered the top 5 Hard Disk to buy for your PC and Console. So here we are going to tell you the names of these drives but if you want full information, you can check out this link https://appuals.com/best-hard-drives-for-gaming/ and you can also buy the Hard Disks from this link.

Rumoured as the cheapest of the bunch before the actual launch, the iPhone XR is actually the most afforfable. Taking a bit away from what you have on the iPhome XS and iPhone XS Max so as to cut price, the smartphone still feels everybit like the iPhone X of last year. Some of the lay off includes a single rear camera ,less RAM, lesser resolution and a switch from.OLED to LCD. Nonetheless, the smartphone still carries the same flagship SoC as the other models.
To the business of how it looks, the smartphone looks everybit like a flagship with thick surrounding bezels and the same mettalic frame. However, the bezels around the screen are a bit thicker and there is the fact that it is a bit chunkier. Also, it is water and dust proof with an IP67 certification like last year’s iPhone X. This means it can stay in water up to 1m for 30mins unlike the IP68 label on the iPhone XS and XS Max. It is covered by scratch resistant glass and with oleophobic coating to prevent smudges.
A major difference can be noticed in the change from OLED to LCD to cut cost and a further reduction in resolution too. In comparison to the iPhone XS, it is a bigger and a lesser one than the iPhone XS Max. Sporting the characteristical notch, the display has a size of 6.1-inch and a resolution of 828 x 1792 pixels. There is no 3D Touch display but you’ll still be getting the True-tone display on the smartphone.
Battery and CameraNothing yet on the battery capacity on the smartphone but you should expect the conventional a day usage on it. Since it’s using the same set of chipset as the others, you can expect a typical efficient power consumption on it. In addition, you still get to enjoy fast charge and Qi wireless charging is also supported.
One major change and a quite obviously one you’ve got here is the absence of the extra telephoto camera. This means no more 2x lossless zoom but it still manages to take imoressive portrait shots and you can even adjust the bokeh effect. It comes with the single f/1.8 aperture 12MP camera and the Truedepth 7MP front camera stays the same.
Hardware and SoftwareTo be candid, the iPhone XR is a decent offering considering it is going to be featuring the latest Neural engine as the more premium models. The Bionic 12 processor is the real deal when it comes to flagship prowess. Even if the RAM size has been reduced to 3GB on the smartphone, you’d still expect a stellar performance. Unfortunately, the 512GB storage option is not available on the iPhone XR but you will still be getting 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage space alternative. The latest iOS 12 is on board too alongside Apple Pay, Siri assistant and AI optimization.
iPhone XR Pricing and AvailabilityPre-order can be made come October 19 but it will go on sale on October 26 in select stores. The 64GB variant of the smartphone costs $749 (271, 000 Naira( while the 128GB model will go for $799 (290, 000 Naira) and the 256GB model for $899 (325, 000 Naira).
