Have you ever wondered, how many email does one receive in his/her inbox in a day? We can’t imagine right? And by the way, do you read all the emails that come to your inbox, also what makes you to open those emails? You should ask these types of questions from yourself in order to stand out from the crowd.

Most of us never try to understand the essence of Email Marketing. What we do is, we just start promoting our products and services through it without having an idea of what our customers need.

See, you need to understand first that Email Marketing is the way to be in contact with your potential customers; it is the way through which you can understand their needs, rather than just sending them cheap promotional emails, you need to check what they exactly want from you.

If you use this Email Marketing in a right manner, than it can do wonders for your business, as it has the capability to manage your business database, it can run things into automation, and this will only happen when you understand what actually Email Marketing is.

Ever notice what big Email Marketer does? And how they are so successful? They actually did a market survey of their potential audience; understand their needs and then make an Email Marketing funnel. You have to work on the same.

Now, we will be going to share with you 5 Common Email Marketing Mistakes that one should avoid.

Sending Mail Without Permission

What is someone sends you email on daily basis without your permission? It’s annoying, right? Yes. Similarly, you should never implement this type of strategies in your Email Marketing business, it has lots of demerits like the people for whom you are unknown can take your email as spam, or they can complaint about them, it can also increase the bounce rate and finally it can be black listed. So, this is not the good idea to send emails to anyone without their permission. Always send email to those people or audience who has fulfilled your email opt-in form. As, they are willing to receive emails from you.

Always Put Unsubscribe Button in the End

You have to put a unsubscribe button in the end of every mail you are sending to your customers. Because, sometimes the customers get annoyed by receiving lots of emails and also if someone subscribe to your mail list, it doesn’t mean that they are willing to continue to receive the emails from you forever.

There can be numerous reasons for un-subscription but you have to always put that unsubscribe button in the end so that there is no compulsion on the customer for receiving your email.

Quality Content

We all know that “Content is the King”, still we neglect this most of the time. You have to write such copy of email through which one can easily understand what to do and what not to do. It should be very clear and informative to the potential audience. Content is considered as a heart of any marketing campaign, so it should be attractive, compelling and informative enough to convert your leads into sales or any other marketing objective.

So, always work on your content and check whether the copy is good or not. Also, ask from yourself that what can be the questions that one can get into his mind after reading this. By analyzing this all thing, you can easily deliver to your customer what exactly they want.

Clear Call to Action

Writing a good content copy and adding some attractive visual in it are not enough for an effective campaign. If you have not put the Call-to-action button in the copy then never expect any conversion from the same because you have to show the path to your customer, telling them what to do next.

Always be clear with your purpose. If they don’t know what to do next after reading your copy then the whole hard work can go into vain. So, don’t forget to put an attractive call to action button in the email.

Buying Email List

This is one of the biggest mistakes that most of the Email marketer do and they are still doing also. See, buying email list can never help you to boost up the growth of your business. One thing that works for me will not have surety to work for you as well. Similarly, if one email list is working fine for me and converting leads, it doesn’t mean that it will work for you as well.

So, buying an Email list is one of the worst ideas that one can think of. It is the waste of time as well as the money also. Prepare your own original list, get subscriber by pushing them free resources like e-books, free-trials, etc. By doing this you can easily collect bunch of email, and here you are collecting their email with their permission, hence there are no risk of bounce rate and other spam.

Conclusion

We hope you will get all your basic queries solved by reading this. By avoiding these 5 mistakes, you can easily grow your email subscriber base. Still, if you feel that we forget to mention any other common mistake that newbie do, please share it with us, we would love to add that in our list.

Expanding Internationally With Virtual Offices

Wouldn’t it be great if you could expand your company into a new market with minimal expense and maximum ease? Perhaps you would like to move your company to an overseas location, but it is currently out of your budget.

Setting up a physical office anywhere is expensive and this can also be time-consuming. But there is another solution, one which does not require you to rent office space, buy furniture, set up utilities, or hire a receptionist: a virtual office. It’s faster, much cheaper and you can set one up just about anywhere.

What is a Virtual Office?

A virtual office is one that provides a communication service to customers. This type of set-up usually includes providing a phone number, and sometimes also an address, neither of which are necessarily attached to a physical location.

A virtual office will have a phone service which may include a live receptionist, a call forwarding service, or an automated answering system.

You may also want to think about virtual assistants if you are expanding internationally as they can be very helpful in specific areas such as:

Legal advice. Overseas business research. Scheduling. Billing. Accounting. Web design. Content writing. Social media. Marketing. The Benefits of Expanding Internationally With Virtual Offices

Many types of companies are suited to using virtual offices. They are particularly popular with e-commerce companies.

They are also often used by startups or small businesses who don’t have the budget required to set up a physical office.

They are also invaluable for companies who wish to expand internationally. Expanding internationally with virtual offices allows you the freedom to operate from just about anywhere in the world.

Other advantages of expanding internationally with virtual offices include:

Testing a new market: Setting up a virtual office is an ideal way to test a new market without having to go through the trouble of organizing a physical office. All you have to do is set up virtual phone numbers and an address, and have your employees work from their current office or home. This can be done with a virtual office in the U.S. or overseas.

Boost your prestige: In having a virtual office, it would be smart to have a virtual business number, and also a prestigious (virtual) address. You can use this to associate your company with other well-known companies within your specific industry.

This can help your startup or small company seem larger than it currently is by having an address in a prime location that you would not be able to afford physically.

Trust building: In some situations, location can make or break a company. This is because your location can, to some extent, affect your customers’ trust in your organization. For example, if you are running your company from home, it doesn’t look very professional if your business address is obviously the address of an apartment building.

If you are a furniture designer, your business will look much more impressive and trustworthy if it’s located in New York rather than Alabama.

If you cannot afford the ideal location for your office space, a virtual address is a solution you need. That way, you don’t have to worry about whether your customers trust someone who works out of a home office.

Gain local perception: A virtual address and phone number are also advantageous because many consumers prefer to do business with a local company for several different reasons. They may want to support their local economy, or they may simply feel that it’s more convenient.

Protect your privacy: Startups, small businesses, and individual entrepreneurs that work from home can use virtual addresses and ITFS numbers to protect their privacy.

Do you really want to post your personal address and phone number on your website, billboard, or have it read out loud on your radio or television commercial? The answer is probably no. So setting up a virtual office with a virtual phone number is a good way to protect your privacy.

Expand Your Business with a Virtual Office

Don’t be intimidated by the thought of expanding your business overseas. You can use a virtual office to get the ball rolling. With a virtual office, you can have a virtual address and phone number, a virtual receptionist and your company can be run entirely from the cloud.

Virtual is great for growing a business. What safe and more affordable way is there to scout out an international market?  Virtual offices are a great way to try out new markets, and if it doesn’t work out, you can pull out and set up a virtual office elsewhere.

You can use virtual offices in different countries for a gradual expansion until you have steadily developed a global empire.

How to make Customers feel they are valued?
How to make Customer Feel they are valued?

Good businesses are built on sales. Great businesses are made of relationships. This is an untold tenet of any successful business. Every business strives to generate profits. But, those businesses which go beyond the notion of profits and make their customers feel valued are the ones that truly make a dent in the Universe.

We are living in a time where customer-centricity has become the mantra of every business imaginable. Unlike the early days of Industrial Revolution, today customer is the epicentre of every major business decision. From timing the release of a product to structuring the after sales process, the customer’s best interests is given utmost importance.

When a business proves itself to be customer-centric, customers feel valued. They feel more welcome towards conducting business with the organization. In fact, discounts, freebies, promo codes and such incentives have become trivial in the eyes of the wise customer. What they expect truly from businesses is being valued for the money and time that they spent. This has been proven by scientific studies too. A research by Gallup, Inchas found that, “Consumers are spending money, but they’re more inclined to spend it only on businesses they feel good about.”

If you are running a business, or are in the works to enter the world of business here is a quick tip for you. Value your customers above everything else, because when you value your customers, they value the relationship with your business more than every other rival out there. And, that is how our business can growth hack its way into more turnover and market share.

Do you know that there are some surefire ways how you can make your customers make feel valued? These ways are your passport to maximize sales without having roll out any expensive marketing campaigns.

We are breaking down some such ways for your benefit.

Stick to your word

A customer-centric business always sticks to its word. If you are promising your customer something, like an assured service guarantee, quality standard, an offer, or so on, make sure you provide it.

Don’t try to be sneaky by citing hidden terms and conditions that could derail the customer. In fact, it is the most rudest thing any business can do. On the other hand, stick to your word, that makes things so easy.

Serve with a Charm

Not all customers are equally well-behaved. Some can get on to your nerves. Still, a business that values its customers would always serve them with a charm. Be hospitable in rendering your service, be it through online medium or directly in person.

If you are on the phone, never let them wait for too long. If the situation demands so, make sure you inform the customer that you would call back at a time that would be convenient for them. Never ask the customer to call back. That is not sound customer service.

Address using their First Name

Like we said in the beginning, great businesses are all about relationships. Relationships are built on intimacy. But, how do you build an intimate relationship in a business setting. Well, a subtle thing like addressing the customer can make them feel more attached to your business.

Ever noticed why eCommerce companies always address customers by their first names in their drip mail campaigns. It is to create this personal connection. It is sure to make your customers feel polite.

Always be Polite

Alright, we said addressing your customers by their first name can help. But, make sure you do not go overboard. As a thumb rule, create the conversation tone that you would adopt if you are talking to someone for the first time.

Use more of ‘Please’, ‘Thank you’, and such pleasantries that will make the customer feel valued and respected.

Give more than what they ask

Well, this might not make any business sense. How can a business make profits if it starts giving its customers more than what they ask for? Well, the truth is, it is possible to surprise customers by going the extra mile in service.

Remember, that there is not much traffic in the extra mile. Very few businesses stretch themselves to serve their customers with elan. So if you can help your customer to put a quick order, process a refund quickly, change the pickup location, or give an extra month of warranty, it all shows you value your customers.

Show that you care for their well-being

In today’s Internet-centric business, it is easy for customers to fall prey to scams and forgeries. These scams and forgeries could be committed by fraudsters who masquerade as your brand or as its representative. A classic example of this is fake eCommerce websites and mobile apps.

How do you ensure your customers transact only with your genuine outlets and not with fake or counterfeit outfits? Well, RapidSSL Certificates generally cheap in price can take care of that.

You can invest in it to ensure customer about their data security on the website. Users / customers can identify a real or fake website by seeing signs such as green padlock, https for URL etc. which are normally come with an SSL-secured website.

SSL certificate encrypts the information that is shared between your browser and server. It helps prevent major forms of cybersecurity threats. Vigil customers would truly understand that you go the long mile to ensure their digital well-being.

Conclusion

Making a customer feel valued is not an easy task. Every business on Earth is trying to achieve this feat through several inventive ways. For digital businesses, it is a stiffer challenge since they don’t get to meet their customers in person. The ways we have described above must help you overcome that challenge. They will help you become one among those customer-centric companies that do everything in their capacity to make customers feel valued.

Five Tips for Accelerating Business Growth
Sage Business Cloud Accounting Review 2018

Today there is a near continuous need for companies to keep repositioning themselves and re-work their strategies in the pursuit of success. According to PWC’s 2017 CEO Survey, nearly a quarter of CEOs singled out innovation as their top priority for 2018 – this outstripped priorities such as human capital, competitiveness, customer experience and technology capabilities. However, this desire for innovation and growth is often easier said than done. Striving to identify new areas of growth, fresh opportunities and establish plans for long-term success, can be a tricky proposition for both new and established organisations, and that is before a company considers its competition.

There are ways to better plan and structure this business growth acceleration process, which I have summarised in these five tips.

1. Hire the Right People

It is often said that a company is only as good as its people yet hiring the right people for your company needs careful planning. It’s critical to establish the specific types of skills and expertise you need for your business and indeed the role and team you are recruiting for.

Consider whether you want to bolster your workforce with general skills that can be moulded into different areas of your business, find specialist skills and experience that will plug expertise gaps or help you accelerate into new product areas or markets.

A workforce should be as diverse as the customers it serves. Having people from different backgrounds (gender, ethnicity, nationality, experience, sexuality) will help your business gain better insight into providing products and services to societies that are increasingly diverse themselves. For example, recent McKinsey study, Why Diversity Matters, suggests that gender-diverse companies typically achieve 15% higher financial returns and gender and ethnically-diverse companies return an extra 35%.

2. Be Customer-Focused

Both short and long-term success relies on establishing new and loyal customer bases. Customer-centric companies are 60 per cent more profitable.  When organisations start out, they are very customer-driven, and their sole focus is gaining customers and keeping them happy. However, as businesses grow, it can be easy to lose focus on your customers and let processes get in the way.

There are ways to tackle this problem. Analyse your current customer base to spot strengths and weaknesses on how your company performs when retaining customers. Pay close attention to market trends. Conduct surveys, interview new, current and lapsed customers, and importantly listen to – and act upon – all customer feedback and concerns. Net Promoter Score (NPS), for example, is a great way to measure customer experience and predict business growth. By adopting NPS, businesses can ask the right questions to track promoters and detractors, producing a clear measure of an organisation’s performance through the eyes of the customer.

Thanks to social media and online forums, there are now more ways than ever to talk to your customers, build two-way conversations, and develop an active user community. That might mean an investment in new options on your website or reworked customer support, but such investments will help develop trust and loyalty from your customers.

3. Adapt to changing Technologies

There is a lot of scope for companies to make better use of modern technologies, services and systems to improve their operations and help support growth.

Adopting cloud-based services, for example, is a way to reduce your company’s established IT infrastructure. This not only reduces costs and improves efficiencies but can free up your IT team to explore further ways to use emerging technology that will improve a business rather than just reacting to issues.

The same technology can also give your workers flexibility to work on the move or remotely. This can give them the scope to be more adaptable in how they carry out their day-to-day tasks or pursue new business opportunities. A recent survey puts improved flexibility as the driving force behind  76 per cent of “BYOD” (Bring Your Own Device) solutions.

Advanced systems with machine learning and artificial intelligence features can automate time- consuming administration or data processing tasks. Such technology can free up teams to carry out more innovative and strategic tasks that directly bolster your business growth and bottom line.

Used wisely, technology can help make your company more innovative, productive, and provide the foundations for the next stage in growth.

4. Get ahead of the Game

Boosting short-term sales through promotions and new products and services will help draw in revenue, but it is not the way to position your company for future long-term growth. Companies need to look at the bigger picture and have strategies to get ahead of market and customer trends and stay ahead of the competition.

This requires a more holistic, longer-term view of your company’s operations and business – your company vision, sales strategies, market positioning, your workforce, your technology infrastructure and processes etc.

For example, could your supply chain be more efficient? Are there markets you could push into that your rivals have yet to enter? Do you have a product portfolio that is too complex? Are you spending enough on marketing?

Such analysis can help you find ways to make your business more efficient and effective, as well as surface new revenue opportunities. But they can also help identify ways to reduce risks in your company’s operations.

5. Focus on your business, not the competition

Instead of focusing on the competition, invest time and resources to get a better understanding of your own business.  Develop and look after your team to drive employee engagement, and this doesn’t just mean pizzas and ping-pong tables. A report into employee engagement suggests that employees rate feeling valued and recognised over quirky benefits and in-office gimmicks. The same report also suggests that a 50 per cent increase in employee engagement equates to a three per cent in revenue growth in the subsequent year.

Boosting business growth is not about gimmicks and quick wins. It’s an attitude that must permeate every department and employee, driving every decision and informing every choice. From people and technology to operations and processes, only by taking this approach can businesses guarantee the long-term growth they all desire.

Effective Recruitment Strategy for Tech Talent Acquisition
Benefits of Hiring Remote Developers for your Project

The shortage of skilled human resources has been a big problem for different industries, especially the software developer recruitment agencies and the companies. To bridge the tech talent shortage, many companies, as well as agencies, opt for the different ways of technical hiring, such as hiring dedicated developers through IT outstaffing from remote geographical locations.

Let’s expand upon the tech talent gap in the industry, what challenges the industry faces while hiring tech talent and what are the ways to fill the requirements of tech jobs and associated technical skills in the software industry across the globe.

Global Demand and Supply of Software Developers

According to the Evans Data Corporation Predictions, the total population of the software developers will be around 26.4 million by 2019. This report clearly indicates that APAC region and some countries in the Eastern Europe region will predominantly lead the global growth of producing the software developers. The North American and the Western European countries, where the demand for software developers is huge generate negative growth in the supply of tech graduates.

The new research conducted by the Michael Page suggests that the profession of software developer tops in the demand list across 24 major countries across the globe. The software professionals are highly demanded in North America, West Europe and Australian regions where the best companies to work for – both local and multinational companies – are located.

About 50% increase in demand was noticed between 2003 and 2013, as per the Bureau of Labor Statistics figures. The predicted average growth in the software developer jobs is about 22% for the next decade in the USA. The Economic Modeling report predicts more than 3.5% annual growth in the demand for software developers between 2017 and 2025.

Industries Hiring the Biggest Amount of Remote Developers

Moreover, the high demand for software professionals exists in the countries where the technical recruiter salary is also very high. So, the overall demand for software engineers will remain high for many years to come because new domains like artificial intelligence, machine learning, internet of things and other such technologies are just taking the stronger roots.

Challenges the Software Industry Faces

The software industry across the globe, especially in the developed countries is facing many big challenges related to the shortage of software developers in the local marketplace. A few very important challenges that the existing software industry faces include the following:

The demand is very high and supply is very low so you struggle with hiring the right candidate matching your requirements The cost of hiring software developer is increasing consistently across the globe Technical talent war through highly lucrative offers keep rounding in the marketplace regularly The retaining the technical professionals has become so difficult Multicultural, multi-generation and multi-language workforce Increasing trend of professionals moving towards freelancing and remote working Complex tech pro-research due to fussy job descriptions Complex hiring process due to governmental and industry regulations Unavailability of right candidate with the right skills in the local market Demand for developers is also increasing in big developing countries where the tech talent was in abundance, like in India and China Security of the business critical information due to job switching of developers within the competitors

All these challenges put the executives and entrepreneurs in double stress on whether to hire technical talent from the local market or develop an offshore team of developers for their development projects.

Top 3 Remote Hiring Options

To meet the towering talent hiring challenges, many companies choose to adopt the alternative methods of hiring that offer more flexibility, cost efficiency and reliability. Among such hiring methods, the top 3 remote hiring models are described below.

Benefits of Hiring Remote Developers for your Project

Outsourcing

In this mode of hiring, the entire software development project or operations of an entire business process is handed over to the third party company, which manages the entire process independently.

Pros Fully managed No technical and management staff required Fast availability of resources Cons Very costly hiring model Little control over development teams Business information security issues Reduced work quality Outstaffing

In this model of hiring, the third party provides the technical resources with development infrastructure and administrative support. You hire dedicated developers powered by the third party guarantee of quality and timely delivery for your specific development project at a fixed cost.

Pros Offers competitive prices Allows greater control over the team Zero up-front cost for dev infrastructure Reliable and flexible to scale up or scale down Cons Remote team management is comparatively difficult Communication and language related issues Geographical locations and time zone related issues Freelancing

Freelancing is very popular for small projects and short-term tasks. In this case, a freelancer or a team of freelancers is hired for a particular task or project without any guarantee from the third party company.

Pros The cheapest form of remote hiring Availability of a huge pool of global talent No up-front cost for development infrastructure Cons Very less control over the freelancer The freelancer can vanish at any time, so it is an unreliable model of hiring Language and cultural barriers Uncertainty about the quality of work Software Developer Concentration Areas

The main concentration areas of software developers worldwide include China, India, Ukraine, Russia, Indonesia and a few African countries. Ukraine is one of the most popular countries for the remote hiring of software developers owing to its large technical talent pool and European work culture. Ukraine and other Eastern European countries also offer competitive prices and high quality of work.

Final Takeaway Demand for software developers is very high as compared to supply in major countries of Europe, North America and Australia Technical talent hiring industry is facing numerous challenges in hiring and retaining the talent Outsourcing, outstaffing and freelancing are the best way out for industries to overcome the challenges Ukraine, Russia and India are the best options for remote hiring for recruiting managers Related Topics How to Work from Home Online How to Blog Top 10 Online Jobs for Nigeria Top 20 Online Jobs Best Web Hosting

Things you can do to keep your Data Safe and Protected
data safe protected

When technology came in, nobody thought it would turn our lives upside down. At the beginning, it was all win-win situation as we were only seeking from the convenience we were offered and neglected the negatives of it.

Data security has now become the biggest threat of this century. People have made millions just by stealing someone else’s data and using it for what not purposes. Therefore, this obviously leads you to take some remedy steps before you face some unwanted consequences.

Lock your computer:

Although the basic password locking option isn’t totally reliable, it still works as a barrier and prevents anyone from accessing your stuff while you are away. In case if you lose your device or someone steals your laptop, there would be no obstacles between them and your personal data. There are some gadgets in the making that uses Bluetooth to identify how far you’ve stepped from your system. If you go too far, your device gets locked automatically.

Use Cloud but not too much:

As they say ‘too much of anything is poison’ seems to fit in this situation. Cloud storage offers convenience but they are also in the reach of third parties as well. The best you could do is store that kind of data that is not much confidential. In case you have no other option but to store all your data in the cloud, than make sure you use an encrypted USB drive/stick leaving no loose ends.

Arm your system:

Your computer works with an operating system that tries its level best to keep your data safe. But in the end, the basic protection isn’t enough and soon, malwares, viruses, etc. enter your system while you surf the web.

Even the firewall protection option isn’t viable enough to prevent them. What can be done here is you store all your files and folders in a folder and hide it with an encryption software. Encryption is a blindfolded method of keeping your data safe even when you are not around. Make sure you are using the AES-256 bit encryption and not anything lesser than that.

Disable file sharing if you do not need it:

If you have a wireless network having multiple devices connected to it, you might find it easier to share files between machines. But it doesn’t mean you need to make your files publicly available if it isn’t necessary. Remember, you can always work by sharing some of your folders on the home network.

Updating your operating system:

The regular efforts you make to keep your system safe is truly worth it. OS and other software programs need to update periodically as the developing side releases different features and bug fix reports which can only be used when you update them. It’s a smart idea to simply turn the option of automatic search on for all the necessary updates.
